Alice in Wonderland
| Alice in Wonderland is renowned for it's odd and satirical nature, while still appealing to kids who are highly entertained by the disappearing Cheshire cat, the wackiness of the Mad Hatter, and the wrath of the Queen of Hearts. The songs are cute and Disney-esque, and Alice's adventures inspire all of the many imaginative people out in the world. |

Sleeping Beauty (Disney)
| For some reason, and I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'm really not into Sleeping Beauty. I adore Disney movies and have seen pretty much every one, with the exception of a couple. This does not rank high on my list. The story never really interested me, the music was just OK. It came as a bit old fashioned for me. That said, It's certainly not a bad movie by any means, just not as enjoyable as some of the other brilliant ones out there. |

A Town Like Alice
| I loved this series, when I first watched in on television back in the '80s. Every couple of years I pull the tape off the shelf and re-watch it.This is not just for Bryan Brown fans, but for the Gordon Jackson fans in the crowd. Jackson's portrayal of a man who falls in love too late in life, is very touching.I would love to see it available on DVD! |

Lady and the Tramp
| Walt Disney's "Lady And The Tramp" was never one of my personal favorite films as a child. I'm all grown up now, and it has become a very enjoyable treat for me and my entire family. For those unfamiliar with the story, here's a brief explanation: Cocker Spaniel Lady has a perfect life until a baby shows up. She begins to feel neglected and when her owners take a little vacation and leave her and the baby with Aunt Sarah, she winds up on the mean streets alone....until Tramp shows up. He defends her, has a romantic dinner with her and eventually finds his way into her heart. It's all executed with Disney's classic perfection and littered with wonderful songs like "Bella Notte" and "We Are Siamese."What really makes this film worth five stars is the treatment it receives in this platinum edition. The digital restoration looks and sounds great. The extras are some of the best I've ever seen, especially the "Backstage Disney" features that give animation fans a wonderful look at the development of the film.If you're a fan of animation, this DVD is a must. The special features alone are worth the purchase price. Fans of light romance, family films and dogs will also love this classic Disney tale. Highly recommended. |

The Little Mermaid (Disney)
| The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney animated movie ever. Nothing beats the final scene of Ariel in her sparkly dress or the sound of her voice in the conch shell. Unfortunately, it does have some few minor flaws. The biggest of all, for me, are the steps. The hideous, hideous steps. There is a scene where Ariel rushes down some palace steps. The only problem is that the steps aren't animated- they're CGI. In an animated movie. They stick out like a sore thumb, and every time I see them I wince. I know it probably saved Disney a lot of $$$ while they were making the film, but I would've loved it if they had been reanimated for the remastered edition. Also, "Under the Sea" stretches a little too long for my taste and... well, that's about it. You really can't find t00 much at fault with such a classic. |
